Warranty Policy and Conditions
Digital Home Convergence Designs, Inc., expects
you to have many years of trouble-free enjoyment from your
entertainment system. However, in real life, unexpected system
failures may occur. How your dealer responds and supports you,
can turn any such occurrence into a mere annoyance or a major
dissatisfaction. We have always accepted the responsibility
that comes with long-term client relationships. Our Service
and Support policy is quite simple:
ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
At no additional charge, Digital Home Convergence
Designs, Inc. will guarantee all products purchased
and installed by us, up to one year from the time of
installation, except where noted.
Exceptions
- Products subject to misuse and abuse.
- Normal wear items, such as projection lamps and filters.
- Products removed from the original configuration of your system.
- Products operated beyond their original intent and design.
- Programming necessitated by actions of others,
e.g. should your cable or satellite company designate
new channels which require your control system to be
re-programmed. (*)
- Replacement of products necessitated by actions of you or
others, e.g. if the original system was designed to use
satellite service, and you wish to change over to cable. (*)
- Addition of products or features not in original configuration
of your system, e.g. adding a Digital Video Recorder
(DVR). (*)
- Products purchased by client which we will make our best effort to
incorporate into the system. (*, **)
- Products installed by others.
- Products modified or re-programmed by others.
- Products repaired or serviced by others.
- Should parts or service for a defective component be
unavailable, we will replace the unit at no charge to
you. It is at our discretion to provide a product replacement
with equivalent, or better functionality and performance.
Warranty for such items shall be pro-rated up to the remaining
time of the existing warranty of the entire system, or the new
product warranty, whichever is longer.
- Custom cabinet work necessary due to the replacement of
components will be the client's responsibility.
- Your account must be in good standing, with all balances
paid in full.
- The one year period will begin on the date of the last
invoice.
- Prior systems and sales are not included.
- This warranty is only valid to the original owner, at its
original installation address, and is not transferable to
a second homeowner or second location.
- This shall pertain to residential systems only and
excludes all commercial, industrial, and business systems.
(*) Changes that may incur programming, installation
and/or service charges, for which you are responsible.
(**) Subject to the original manufacturer's warranty.
